It's a pleasure to meet you.
We are Aria and we cannot wait to be on your college planning team. We have been helping students reach their perfect colleges since 2013 and we are immensely proud of our results. Aria was founded on the belief that the best college resource for students involves hands-on guidance and a personal commitment to excellence. We continue to carry on those ideals as we present to you our programs.
"Aria College Planning was with me every step of the way during the college planning process. Working with Aria is not a temporary connection; it is a partnership that will last forever."
UC Santa Barbara, Class of 2020
What's included in our college planning program
SAT & ACT Tutoring
We strongly encourage students to take both the SAT and the ACT. Colleges do not have a preference; they simply want to see the best score of each student. Because of the competitive nature of college applications, there is no downside to taking both.
We recommend taking 3-4 total tests.
Retake of either SAT or ACT
(optional) Final retake of either SAT or ACT
We help prepare for the First SAT and First ACT using our time-tested curriculum in an in-person, small group setting. By entering the tests with a strong foundation, we are best able to compare scores between the SAT and ACT to determine which exam to pursue.
Major & Career Counseling
A fundamental part of the entire college planning process is knowing what to actually pursue in college. We assist with our in-depth assessment which combines a modified Myers-Briggs-style personality test with an interest and skills inventory.
The net result is a complete assessment of personality, strengths and interests that informs our discussion of potential college majors and careers. By looking at the aforementioned aspects, we can pinpoint specific majors that are worth examining further.
Our goal is not to find just one major.
We want to find each and every student a field that they feel comfortable in. We understand that students can change majors in college, and that is completely ok, as long as there is a plan in place. Our results here will create a plan wherein students are comfortable both with their primary major as well as other, closely-related majors.
Detailed College Search
The goal is simple: find your perfect college.
First though, we discuss wants and needs for college with both students and parents. Would you like a college in California? How about near mountains? Will you want to attend football games? Plan to rush a fraternity or sorority? Do you want to bring your car to college? How important is it to have access to a tutor? To a counselor?
These, and many more, are the kinds of questions we will ask in an effort to build out a list of colleges that match you. We then take GPA, SAT/ACT, extracurriculars, and other circumstances to properly match qualifications to colleges. Thanks to our cutting edge, proprietary database of every college in the country, we are able to match colleges to you more effectively than any online system.
The net result is a list of 20 schools that are ideal, in terms of both your preferences and your qualifications.
College Application AID
Common App? Cal State Apply? UC App? Something else?
Don't worry. We've got you covered
We assist with every step of the college application process, including essay writing, requesting letters of recommendation, sending test scores, sending transcripts, and filling out the applications themselves, of course. We provide a simple, easy-to-read checklist for all college applications, to ensure that you stay on track.
Our job here is not done until every single application of yours is submitted.
Financial Aid Assistance
We assist in finding local scholarships that match up to your qualifications. Every year, hundreds of potential scholarships are offered to graduating students; we will do our best to tap into those.
Should you need assistance with the FAFSA, we can recommend financial advisors who can walk you through the process.
We take pride in making ourselves accessible to our students and families.
Whatever the request, be it reaching out to colleges on your behalf, scheduling campus tours, or helping to reserve a specific SAT date, we are here to help.

Whether you plan on applying to UC campuses, private colleges, or out-of-state public schools, odds are that your application essay will play a large factor in your admission chances.
We are here to help.
Common App Package
Applicable to hundreds of different colleges, the Common App is a universal application platform primarily used by both private and out-of-state institutions.
The hallmark of the Common App is a single, 650-word essay designed to reveal the character of each applicant. This is the essay that we will tackle together.
Our Common App Package features brainstorming, multiple in-depth reviews & edits, and a final check of approval. The end result will be nothing short of a masterpiece of a college application essay.
Common App Package: $499
UC Essays Package
Inarguably the most prestigious public university system in the world, the University of California application requires students to submit 4 different 350-word responses.
We will help build each and every response to ensure that a complete picture of the applicant is formed. It is essential that the UC essays are written with harmony in mind as the admissions officers will look at all essays as parts of a whole.
Our UC Essays Package features 4 unique brainstorming sessions, multiple in-depth reviews & edits per essay, and final checks of approval.
UC Essays Package: $749
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer hourly assistance for essay writing. Should you require assistance on an essay that is not for the Common App but is of similar length (for example, the Coalition App Essay or Apply Texas Essay), we may be able to provide the same services of the Common App Package at the same rate.
